Lab Director
Dr. Alex Huynh is an Assistant Professor of Social and Personality Psychology at California State University, San Marcos. He obtained his Ph.D. at the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Huynh grew up in Southern California and attended the University of California, San Diego, for his B.S. and B.A. in Psychology and Cognitive Science, respectively.

Graduate Students
Alan Brown
Alan Brown was born and raised here in San Diego. After taking a break from his first stint with academia, he returned to obtain his B.A. in Psychological Science at CSUSM. He has returned to pursue his M.A. Outside of school responsibilities, you will find him participating in his local communities working directly with populations who have fallen on hard times. He is thrilled for the next chapter of his education.

Cinthya Navarro Araujo
Cinthya obtained her BA in Psychology at CSUSM this past spring of 2022. In her free time, she enjoys reading, rewatching her favorite shows, and traveling with her friends and loved ones. Cinthya is currently gaining research experience and is planning to apply to graduate schools in the near future.
Kayla Lankford
Kayla is a senior at CSUSM pursuing a B.A. in Psychological Sciences. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, dance, and trying new cafes. Kayla is currently finishing her last year and gaining research experience. She plans on continuing her education post-graduation and is excited for what’s to come.
Yuneises Manzo
Yuneises graduated from MiraCosta College in May of ‘22 and transferred to CSUSM. She is currently working on her B.A. in Psychological Sciences with a minor in Ethnic Studies. Yuneises is a TRiO McNair Scholar and after she finishes her B.A., she will be applying to graduate school. She hopes to earn a PhD in Psychology. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, chasing sunsets, visiting National Parks, and spending quality time with her loved ones.
